The first day of your Borasu Pass trekking tour will be all about your transfer to Sankri from Dehradun via taxi or bus. Upon reaching the village of Sankri after a long tiring road journey, you will check-in your guesthouse and relax overnight.

On this day, you will take an hour road journey from Sankri to Taluka, which is located around 12 kilometers away. Your Borasu Pass trek will actually start from Taluka, offering you a quite pleasant climb in the beginning. You will pass by the meandering Supin river and continue walking through Gangad village until Osla village finally appears. The village of Seema is a small settlement lying opposite Osla. You will wind up your day’s hike once you reach here and rest overnight.

The third day is reserved for trekking to Har ki Dun from the village of Seema or Osla. From here, the Borasu Pass trekking trail will get steeper gradually and you will need to do a 10 kilometers hike to arrive at Har ki Dun, which is situated amidst 2 valleys with one arising from the Hata glacier and the other from the Jaundhar glacier. You will rest overnight at Har ki Dun.

Early in the morning of the fourth day, you will start preparing for your trekking journey from Har ki Dun to Ratha Tho, which is located around 5 kilometers away. You will pass the small and serene Marinda Tal, after which the terrain will become a bit rough with small to medium size boulders lying over the area. However, the clearly visible snow-covered peaks of the magnificent Himalayan mountains will refill your energy levels and motivate you to keep climbing.

This day will be all about hiking a 4 kilometers trekking trail to reach Borasu Pass base camp from Ratha Tho. This part of the trek is covered with snow and boulders at various areas. However, this hike will finally open up to a spellbinding panoramic sight of the verdant valley lying behind.

The sixth day will offer you even amazing and wider views as you hike to Bonga from Borasu Pass base camp via Borasu Pass. The cradle-shaped Borasu Pass will start appearing after you cross two boulders and take your final hike over the boulders. You will, then, trek downwards to the trail’s Himachal side, into the huge glacier perched over the first slope. The trail of the trek now passes along one of the tributaries of River Baspa, where you will find a plethora of native shepherds grazing their sheeps.

On this day, you will enjoy an easy hike to Chitkul, passing through dense forest areas and breathtaking flower fields. Once you reach the village of Chitkul, your Borasu Pass trek will finally end. From here, you can easily take a private or public transport service to reach Sankri for your onward journey.
